The Angel's heart of stone

“You should be afraid of me you know,” He told her, “You should stay away from me. Otherwise you're going to end up getting hurt.”
He started to swim away from her and she suddenly darted forward and wrapped her arms around him.
“Please don’t go,” She told him, “If your not afraid of me why should I be afraid of you. You might be cursed but at least you weren’t bred to be a killer.”
He leaned his head back for a second and felt her next to him.
“One day I’m going to be come a monster Eva’. Some people think I already am.”
“I don’t believe you,” She shook her purple head at him, “No matter what you tell me I just cant believe your heart is made of stone and I never will.”




So this is a painting of Evangeline and none other than Lord Noka Yoma. This painting is actually inspired by a pair of songs that I recently heard.
The first one is called “angel of darkness” and speaks of a girl fighting the fate that her angel of darkness will bring. The second song is called “Heart of Stone”. This one is about a girl finding a young man and trying to convince him that in spite of everything he’s not the cold hearted person that he thinks he is.

Orginally this painting was intended to be a lot darker. It was supposed to be a lot sadder and more terrifying. However as it progressed it became more profound and soulful.

Noka has been cursed by his father and will eventually loose his soul and become his father… a true monster.
Evangeline is a siren and is destined to be a killer from the time she came into the world.
Both of them are fighting this fate in this picture and finding a moment of peace in each other.

I hope that every one likes it. This is only my second attempt at drawing a guy so please be kind.
